Seat Width

You may choose 16-1/2" wide or 20" wide.

Seat Height

We recommend a seat height that is 12" below the top of the bar, counter, or table.

  • Bar height is typically 42" high. For that, we build 30" high barstools.
  • Counter height is typically 36" high. For which, we build 24" high barstools.
  • Typical tables are 30" high. We build 18" stools for them.
  • You may specify the height that works for you from 18-31".

Footrests

The footrests are kid high on one side and adult high on the other.  Everyone uses the higher rest from time to time--for example, to change the angle of attack or repose, to support the guitar on the thigh, to reach the top shelf (not recommended)...

The footrests are mortised into the legs.
That intersection is sculpted so that the footrest grows out of the leg.

Omg Gary, I’m sitting at my island with the top and stools from you and I’m ecstatic about them! I know you have many accolades for the woodwork and pieces but I will tell you that passing the torch to the next generation (like Austin and Autumn) is a notable accomplishment these days.

Thanks for the note, I appreciate it.
