Wimberley craftsmen honored

The Collins Pine Co. in Portland, Ore., recently announced the winners of its 1998 national CollinsWood Award for fine furniture and craftsmanship. In the “Home Furniture Over $300” category, Gary Weeks & Company Furnituremakers of Wimberley won with a handcrafted rocker built from Kane Hardwood black cherry. Gary Weeks and his crew of four furniture makers build rocking chairs, dining room tables and dining room chairs.
